Why can't I get Digital Radio anymore on UPC?

WHen I press the MENU button, all that comes up is SETTINGS. Where as, normally, it says DIGITAL RADIO, GUIDE and SETTINGS.

It's been a load of ballbags because Digital Radio was one of the main reasons I got it. I normally listen to BBC Radio 1 in the morning, now I've to settle for bleedin' Morning Television!!!!

    Anybody else have this problem?

I have the UPC DVD. I went into menu and the radio was still there. Try power off and restart???

Tried it many a time. It's been like this since Friday.

I'll have to call them in the morning. (ugh.... The thought of being on the phone for hours, only for them to tell me, "Oh, just press this button" or something like that)

Still there for me. Though I prefer back with the NTL box when you could just dial 901.

From the settings option go to "factory settings" the pin number is 0000 press OK. Box will reset itself and ask which country you want, pick Ireland,it'll then look for an activation code which is 131 for the Dublin cable network.Enter 131 and press OK. Read the on screen messages about a signal and channel scan,it'll ask you to press OK a few times to proceed though each step.
When all this is done your box will have restored itself to the way it was with a full menu and digital radio options.

I've come across this fault twice and a factory reset sorts it out.

Does this clear out the hard disk?

That I don't know nor want to try. I've only carried out that procedure on the standard STB.Haven't seen that fault on the DVR. I was going to go through it last night to give a detailed step by step guide but didn't want to risk the contents on my hard drive.

No it doesn't. You'll just lose all your settings, and any favourites, that's all.

I've just done it, along with a forced software download, on my box, which keeps resetting itself several times a day with a bogus "Software upgrade in progress ..." message that appears for only a out a second. Hasn't helped though :(

    Worked great. Cheers.

Glad it worked for you. Forgot to mention that this will reset the subtitles to be on by default. Hopefully you know how to turn them off permanently.

Soft Reboots or hard Reboots on the basic decoder ZEE TV is disapearing.
Pressing the Menu button in Dublin brings up under (8)Shows 13(number of transport streams,Whatever that means) and after the -182 ?
182 was 184 Last week,Sometimes it went over 190 and as the 180,s and 190,s Varied We gained or lost channels,e.g Loss of Bubble hits brought it down by one.I dont know what we have lost by 184 dropping to 182 in a week ?
I Do Know that trouble channel is closing down and ALL Virgin media Channels are up for sale,Living,Virgin1 etc,
What bugs Me is U.P.C keeps increasing charges saying the channels are charging Them more&they have to pass it on.
Also Setanta is RUMOURED to be in Serious trouble.
U.P.C want,s it both ways,Higher prices and less Channels

    Duplicate post deleted.

Re previous post: problem number one is that very few of those things have anything to do with Chorus NTL. It is not their fault if a company whose channels they have contracted to carry suddenly goes out of business or if a channel ceases broadcasting.

Problem number two is, this is off topic for this thread, so can we stay on topic please!
