I am a mother and granmother, and as much as I dont agree with the way the government or Cowan is sorting out our country I have to feel for his children. How must they feel to hear their father ridiculed and made look like an ass,it must break their hearts.:(
They are innocent young children throwen into this mayhem not of their making.Do you think they are getting counselling or some sort of guidance.
If I was their mother I would be very very worried about their (not sure how to put this)mental health(is that the right word??):(

Do you feel this way for every child with a parent that is a politician, cause lets face it, any that receive any limelight or attention at all get slagged?

As for the children receiving counseling, i doubt its needed. I'm sure that Cowan has spoken to his children about these issues, just as anybody who faces the media would need to speak to their children about the effects.

Lastly, if I comment on Cowan being a bit of an ass, and creating problems for himself & this country, would this topic be more politics than humanities..?

Yes I do agree with you about all politicans children, but I choose him as he is in the limelight at the moment and his children are at a vulnerable age.
As for this topic in humanities, mod from AH moved it here,I wasent sure where to post it.

Bertie's mess? Are we talking about the same Cowen who's been Minister for Health, Enterprise and Finance for several years?

If they're anything like their father they won't understand nor about what's happening outside their sheltered existence. Couldn't give a f**k about their well being tbh.

It doesn't seem to have done Bertie's children any harm.

And what of all the other children in the world that haven't had daddy earn more than €2m over the last 10 years?

I do feel for the children of such public gob****es but in the end of the day that doesn't mean we stand back, watch someone send our country even furthur into trouble and not say anything in case his children get upset. It's his job as their father to protect them and if this is causing any profound psychological problems for them and he isn't able to provide proper guidance for them in that respect then its his responsibility to remove himself from a position where the media will insult him. Its harsh but his business effects that of the people of Ireland so we have a right to comment on it as we see fit.
