Hi just need some advice, my teeth are stained from smoking and drinking tea, ive had them lasered before i was in agony afterwards as wasnt excpecting the sensitivity, but it soon wore off, i wasnt impressed at all with the results and friends said they didnt notice much of a difference!
Anyways that was two years ago, a friend of a friend is selling 36% bleach he got in japan or somewhere and his teeth are sparkling, i was wondering does anyone know if this is a too high percentage to use for me? what could happen would my teeth be in agony? Ive seen on cheapotc.com that they sell creststrips 'supreme' with 14 % should i go for these? as i used the premium ones before and didnt notice much of a result?

Thanks for your help in advance... :)

Am a smoker and tea drinker myself, so i empathise with the teeth staining issue, but a couple of appointments with my Dental Hygienist sorted me out. Can you not try that? its cheaper and waaaaay less painful on you pet!

Am having extensive Dental work done myself so they were pretty stained, and after my first appointment, my teenage son of all people commented to me that my teeth were lovely!!

Bleaching just sounds so extreme and im the most self conscious you'll ever meet about their teeth and yet i wouldnt do it:o

36 % is very high most hygenists use 30 % and I use 30 % peroxide in my job and I have to wear full acid gear handling the stuff.

wow! 36% home bleach. That is very strong stuff to be using at home.
There is always a danger of bleach burns on your gums, which are very painful.
I'd caution against using a bleach that strong, remember thats stronger than the bleach used by most dentists when they do laser bleaching.

On the note of laser bleaching, you need to make sure that your teeth have been cleaned by a dentist before hand, Giving the bleach a good surface to work on.
There is a skill to lsr bleaching, best results will be from a dental professional not a beautician.
Laser bleaching opens the micro pores in your tooth enamel. Meaning your teeth will stain very easily for a week after the lasering while the pores are still open.
You should use a follow on kit after a week or so to get rid of any superficial surface stains you pick up in that time.
A reputable dentist wil advise you of this. It will explain the price differnce between a proper service and some of these cheaper services you here about.

Oh my god!! 36% ? the average is 16 i think. your teeth will get way to sensitive. no way no i wouldnt use it, if your teeth were that sensitive with the last treatment can u imagine what this would do to u!!! has the dentist ever scaled and polished your teeth??? with the regular prophylaxis paste?? that should work!!! voice your concerns to your dentist. now i havnt seen ur teeth u could have fillings on ur front teeth that pick up stains maybe?? if so the only way to get rid of the stains is to re-do the filling and that means taking away more tooth!! let me know!!
