second row fitness?

    well, i had thread here about starting to play rugby this september in college.

    But i'm wondering would second row be a safe/possible place to begin in it's where i can see myself playing eventually.

    And also how fit ,and in what areas would i want to focus on being in at this level(i'm 17)
    am currently doing 3o deadlifts @70 lb and squats/ toe lifts etc to build up legs

    any pointers?

    Well if your going to be a second row you will be obviously a jumper. To get the best out of jumping work on your core strength as you ll find you will be alot more stable in the air with the strong core muscles.
