VFC SCAR firing problems

I'm having firing problems with my SCAR (started last Sunday in the Warehouse). It fires 50 or 60 rounds and then dies as if the battery is dead. I've tried the battery in a friends aeg and it's fine, I've also used his battery in mine with the same problem.

Also I took the motor out a few weeks ago to tighten the grip and noticed a black residue in in the grip and on the motor. Is this normal?

Any ideas to point me in the right direction would be most appreciated

Black residue wouldnt be normal I think, sounds like some issue in the motor.

Did you adjust the motor heigh screw by any chance? It moves the motor into position with the spur gear in the gearbox. It should be tightened until you feel resistance(careful not too much) and then back a quarter turn, you dont want the gears under strain.

If that was too tight, it might be wearing on the motor.

If not, the motor sounds like it needs replacing, I'd reccomend having a technition have a look at it.

Your motor's probably had it's day. Same happened to mine (much more than normal carbon deposit all over the inside of the motor/grip)
The motor works fine when voltage is applied to it but under load - it just cant perform. Almost like there's no torque.

New motor sorted the problem for me.

I'm actually having this exact issue myself lately, no black residue, but the motor conks out every now and again, and when turned manually, gets back to work.

I'm just replacing it, a fussy motor is worthless to a skirmisher.

I'd say I put 40K + thru mine before I had any issues.
Scary amount of deposit in the grip...
You fired many bb's thru it btw?

I haven't touched the motor adjustment but I had a feeling it might be the motor.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the diagnosis

I'd say I've put about 30K through mine.

Should I try and get another EG1300 from VFC or can you reccomend an alternative?

    Cheers

Yeah thats a common enough VFC problem, it can happen with their 416 and AK's too. Its just a matter of replacing the motor and you'll be done.

this is what you want., :)

This motor was in my ak47, then ak74, then my latest akm i made for the milsim, this motor has played gathering one, two, and most milsims and regular games since, not many in my case, but a good few.

maybe 10k or so, as I use mids, but its an old cyma motor, so I don't trust it much anymore.
