HELP! Job Seekers Allowance Question!!

Hi,

I got my letter from the Job Seekers Allowance and will collect all my money tomorrow since last year when I originally applied and signed on.

They require that I collect my money every Tuesday starting next Tuesday.

However, I've had a holiday planned for Monday-Thursday. Now can I go into the Post Office and ask them to keep my money that was supposed to be for the Tuesday, and collect it on Friday -of the same week-.

I could apply for holiday leave, but I'm not leaving for longer than a week, I simply want to collect my money 3 days later. If I provide proof of the tickets etc. do you think they would be able to accommodate this. I don't see the problem myself, but I don't want to apply for holiday leave, it would be pointless considering I'm here for that week...just happens to be on the Friday.

What do you think?

{By the way, can't change flight dates, and really don't want to cancel.}

Payments are available from Tuesday until Friday of the same week and then they're gone out of the system. I'm not sure if it's the same in all post offices though.

AFAIK the Post Office keep your payment for three days so if your meant to collect on a Tuesday you should be still able to collect it on Friday.
