Just started using a Sage package and when I try to download the P&L or B/S within a designated period, e.g. between "brought forward" and "January, month 1 2009", it gives me the following error message:

"There are errors in your chart of accounts. Your financial reports may be incorrect as a result."

Any idea why I am getting this error message, as I can't see any errors?

Hi Minstrel

It means one or more nominal codes aren't listed in your chart of accounts. These may be unused nominal codes so don't actual affect your reports.

To fix this go to the nominal ledger, click on COA button click edit then click on the check button. you will then get a report of what is wrong with chart of accounts.
