    Hi All

Got a newsletter yesterday from GUI which had an advert for FORE insurance.

Apparently GUI card holders can get discounts on car, home and travel insurance.

Anyone use it - and what sort of savings did people really get?

Sample savings from the newsletter were:

Example A - Are you 30 years of age and do you hold a full clean driving licence with a full no claims bonus – Are you driving a Ford Focus 1.4 with a value of €18,000
    Fully Comprehensive cover from €235.00.

My policy does not renew until September so they won't give me a quote until closer to the time - anyone save anything??

    Slumped

yea saved 200 from my curent policy. all the same benifits you would expect. My old company quoted 670 and dropped to only 620, while fore golf quoted 470 straight away. no other company could match it and i tried a few.

no online quote system is poor.

saved 280 on my renewal, definitely worth a ring. lack of online quote etc is probably part f the reason they can charge these prices (that and the fact that the US government is throwing money at them to keep them alive  )

So in the two posts that mentioned savings, between you there was a saving of €480

    That's impressive

They couldn't come near to the quote provided by my current insurance company - and I am not in any way high risk (old).

couldn't beat my current either a few months back,
were only about 5% off though
will try them again next year

Saved me over €120 on my renewal - found them superb to deal with.

Anyone I have recommended them to has also saved!

    Definitely worth a shot!

I tried but they wouldn't quote me cos I lived in Lucan, tried both on their site & via phone, got insurance with Zurich then.

The scope of cover under the householders policy is very good. Much better than my previous insurance with AIG - Chartis (effectively the same company so co0mparison was easy) :and it worked out 40% cheeper.
