illness benefit & working at home?

I'm out on illness benefit, i'm still employed with my job and am out with Arthritis and some other medical issues and unable to work at my fulltime job.
I'm soon to be made redundant

Can I do non work related work in my own time? (i.e. pc fixing)
Is it ok to advertise this type of work?

If this is not possible, is there any way this can be done legally and still keep benefits? (and do a tax return at he end of the year)

    Thanks,
    misterm
