    Hi all,

So i'm looking for a new pair of black skinny jeans at the moment. Every time I try some on, they're just not a great fit. Also, they seem to be disappearing from the shops lately? I'm not too picky, i just want a pair that are v v skinny, not high waisted and won't be stretched within an hour of me putting them on - or is that picky? :)

Thanks a mill if anyone can help!

I got a pair in Topshop on Stephen's Green but it was a while ago (just before christmas)... they're a really good fit and havent faded in the wash at all since I got them.

Thanks :) I was in there the other day and they didn't have my size :( do you know of anywhere else? All options are welcomed!

I find Dr Denim from BT's really good! They are skin tight!
But they are kinda high on the waist.
Get them a size smaller! They stretch a tad.
    Hope you find em!!

Hmm. I'll def have a look at the ones in BTs, i really want skintight ones, just sick of mine stretching out all the time! Awear jeans never really seem to work out for me :(

They really are nearly like leggings!
They only stretch a little at the waist, thats why you should get a size smaller!
They come in Black, dark denim, light wash and other crazy colours like blue and purple, and they're only €60!

Lol you don't work there by any chance? :D Are there any other brands that do a good skintight skinny jean? Just in case i go in there and they don't have my size or something!

    *Shame.... I do!

Miss Sixty have a good pair, they are a really soft material and are nice low waist.
Am Cheap Monday have tight skinnies, dunno if BT's Dub still do em, but pretty sure Urban Outfitters do!

Ok, i am an expert on black skinny jeans...and i have stumbled across a gem!!!

Pennys do brilliant skinny jeans...€13.00. they are an excellent fit on, and also don't stress or go saggy at the knees . I have 3 pairs of black, 2 dark denim, and 2 faded denim, i strongly recommend them. Best buy ever.

Also Vera Modo do great skinnies.

I found River Islands a very bad fit, so try to avoid.

If you wanted to go for a brand...Punky fish do a great range (and every colour under the sun), also Lee Jeans have a good range of Skinnies, including black.

Thanks a mill! I'd forgotten Punky Fish existed! lol!

Yeah my last ones are from River Island and i found that after a few washes they just weren't the same anymore :(

The ones from Pennys never loose their shape, dont fade in wash, and you'd swear they were painted on!!

Punky Fish..i got a pink pair a few months back, skin tight, went out one nite came home a bit tipsy (hammered actually), and my b'f nearly had to cut me out of them, they were glued to me!!!

Excellent! :D That's the way i want them!

Where actually sells punkyfish or do you have to buy online?

I love my Guess black skinnies. Think the Guess store closed down but they may have them in BT2's.

    +1

Its true the Penneys ones are great and I usually have problems with knees going saggy on all my jeans. Maybe I have knobbly knees...

Anyway give them a go they are really good! and only 13 quid too

My Penneys skinnies go baggy after an hour or so of wearing them and they're such a weird fit. I stupidly bought two pairs and I hate them.

Sorry to hear that. On saying that, i am actually a weird shape, i have skinny legs, and my thighs are also way to skinny, so nothing to stretch them or make them baggy!! I can actually wear them twice in a row without washing.

But ists probably trial and error when it comes to skinny jeans...keep looking.

i got one good pair in pennies (then the zip broke ) and then i got another that were terrible (they looked the same- i dunno).. I found the Awear ones the worst ive evr bought. wores them twice and they went to charity then. the Arse on them wnet so baggy after a hour of sitting down, and dont even talk to me about the baggyness on the knees...it looked awful.
the best pair of skinnies i got are from bay (in navy) i have them well over a year and they have got so much wear and even went to festivals and they are still perfect. Wish i could get them in black. it really is trial and error with skinnies.

Has it closed down yet? Or is it just in the process?

Lol it looks like i'll be trawling through the shops trying to find the perfect pair!

Has anyone heard any good/bad things about the ones from warehouse? Haven't tried them yet but was wondering if anyone else had?

I haven't found the perfect black skinny jean yet, I'm still searching. All I can say is avoid River Island, although pretty, all the jeans I've bought from there have stretched like mofos!!:(

I have HELL with skinnies, the only decent pair I have are a black pair (altho very faded now and look grey even tho I tried dying them) that I got in Oz in 2005, a brand called Bubblegum. Fantastic, I still wear them!! But never able to find another pair.

Ive skinny enough legs and thighs and find generally find Penney's skinnies crappy altho like their bootcut. I might try them again this weekend after reading all the good reports about them!

I would suggest Cheap Monday jeans but they're pricey enough. Got mine in Urban Outfitters..

    Good luck!

the ones i got in pennys are massive. id normally wear an 8 but these are massive
i doubt theres an overlap in the kids sizes and i dont want kids clothes really

    so avoid pennys. they're poo.

do you not find them MAD high waisted though?

They're not denim but H&M do fab black skinny trousers - which I guess are the same effect as jeans really but don't lose their shape in the same way. They're on about €23/. I'm on my second pair. They go with anything.

Same problem with mine. I'm a ten and the ones from Penney's were HUGE on me!
I love my Cheap Mondays but yes they are quite high waisted, thankfully that style suits me. I have brown, grey, cream and cobalt blue.I get mine from www.caliroots.com.

    Worked here too :P

They are okay, but like most skinnies buy a size smaller, thats vital! They do bag tho :(

I spend most days off or evenings before bed stretching out new jeans.
They say the best thing to do with good jeans is wear them as long as you can without washing them. They'll retain shape easier this way!
If you want to go expensive there are really good Seven For All Mankind skinnes in black.
