My Mum has never played a game in her life. However since she is now over sixty, she can't do the things she used to do. She has a few joint problems.

Anyway, I decided to give her a loan of my DS and super mario Bros. Since then she has become addicted to it. I usually play more RPG style games so I dont really know the platformers that well.

Any advice on a simple to play, but really good platform game that I could get her. I dont think she will have the patience to learn complicated controls etc.

    Any advice would be welcome...cheers.

60+ and addicted to Mario? Respect!

I'd suggest Super Princess Peach, Yoshi's Island DS, Sonic Rush Adventure and Kirby Canvas Curse.

Don't be afraid to move away from platform games too... there are some other excellent games on the DS that are fun for all ages (and I don't mean boring brain training games).

Look at the top scoring DS games of all time, and read some reviews. See if anything jumps out at you.

Im selling a copy of Peggle Dual shot, it's a very easy game to play and loads of fun. Great for all ages.

New Super Mario Bros. is very good, along with Who wants to be a millionaire ver. 2.

My mum doesn't like computer games whatsoever...but if yours like quizzes, she will love Who wants to be a millionaire. Mine loved this and played it for 2 hours solid before.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village - excellent puzzle game:D

Lego Starwars is good, more adventure than platforming but controls are easy.

If she specifically wants platforming any of the Kirby games will do.
