Anyone know how to downgrade the Wii firmware. I have a Wii with the homebrew channel installed.

I stupidly updated my wii when I went to check the shop channel to get some wiiware games since there are a few excellent ones but now I can't play no more heroes and smash bros with freeloader. I know, I'm a dope. I've tried the so called region free programs for the homebrew channel but they simply don't work. I knwo there is a way to downgrade but I'm worried about doing it since I heard you can brick it with the wrong region firmware. So anyone know how to do it or can provide a link to a decent tutorial?

I'm not sure. I think it's the very latest one I think :/ I'll check when I get home (which could be tomorrow).

There are apps that allow you to downgrade using a wifi connection (any_region_changer or custom IOS downgrader for example) but I'm not sure if they work on the latest firmware. You shouldn't brick unless you install a US system menu on a PAL wii etc.

Well 3.4E is the latest firmware. It's very easy to downgrade this with the right tutorial. I can't send you a link now (at work) but will later on.

Check your PM as I just send you a link to a good tutorial.
