Are there any funny women

My life is basically dominated by "having a laugh" whether Im in work, the pub, visiting the family or anything, the people I associate are always taking the piss and generally trying to get as much of a laugh out of their day to day lives that they can- me included.

Maybe Im lucky; my friends are hilarious (I think) and the banter is always flowing, the work lads are always good craic and even my family come out with gems- nobody i know really takes anything that seriously

    except

    the women I know.

Ive met sexy women, intelligent women, nice, kind and generous women but Ive never met a genuinely funny woman. A woman who can go to the pub and have a laugh, take the pi55 and join in the banter. Dont get me wrong I love women in alot of ways but Ive never desrcibed a woman as being "a real laugh" in the way I would have described a few lads

Alot of the lads GF's will come to the pub with us but they never really get into the laugh either - at best you'll get one of those polite smiles at worst you'll get the "eyes to heaven".

So what do you think, is there a lack of funny women or is it just a gender thing?

.. is this a PI or just a question about humour and gender?

I like to think I'm fairly easy going, and can have a laugh out with people. Sometimes I'll have more fun with a bunch of guys than girls because you can yap about stupid things and laugh or whatever. I don't think it's just gender but it's to do with the person too.

    sweeping generalisation much?

There are lots of funny girls out there. Personally from hanging around with groups of lads for so long I find I can usually join in the banter in most cases.

However it does depend who you are out with, some people probably dont want to seem un - p.c if smething a bit risque comes up.

I'm a woman and find men funnier than women by far. I have two friends that I can really let myself go and have a proper belly laugh with over silly things like sexual and toilet mishaps....and do mad stuff like talk all sorts of funny sh*t in irish to foreign folk on nights out. Whereas the others I can have a crack but can't really let myself go 'cos I'd shame them. In the company of fellas I've had far more great nights. There are funny women out there, sometimes it takes the right company to bring out their fun side.

I'm afraid that I must endorse the ssme sweeping generalisation: guys, generally, are much funnier.

There are exceptions though. My gf is one of the funniest people I've ever met, most guys and girls I know agree.

But she's the exception. Most girls = not that funny.

They were talking about this on the radio today. The conclusion they came to is that women wouldn't 'show off' their funniness as much as men, generally reserving it for when they're amongst a group of people/friends that they're comfortable with and with whom they know the boundries with.

Personally, I reckon that's poo. I find men funnier in general but the funniest people I know are ladies. Especially my sister.

That whole ripping the pixx out of each other thing, I wouldn't say women do that as much and so sometimes when they do take part they take it a little too far and it's almost like boarderline bitchiness.

I always laugh after cumming. So I guess women are funny.

It may be useful to acquaint yourself with the part of the charter dealing with unhelpful posts before posting in PI again.

Maybe a generalisation but it's definitely true. Some girls can be funny, but they come few and far between, I've one or two female friends that are hilarious, my girlfriend can make me laugh, but I wouldn't say she's funny per se.. But alot of my guy friends are very funny and don't take themselves too seriously, unlike the female species.

Can I ask how old you are? I think it comes down to a difference in maturity tbh. If you're in a relationship with a girl and she wants to talk to you about a serious medical issue, problems at work or joint mortgage/rent queries for example, do you joke through those conversations too? If I understand your post correctly, you don't engage in serious conversations ever? If so, maybe that's why you don't a get laughs from the ladies. Constant jokers get old real fast.......

    This isn't a PI, its a survey.

Better suited to AH or the LL, maybe.
