Might have a go at this. What is the course like?

Do you have dates / locations for the other league races?

Don't think I'll make this but can highly recommend the Meath Road race league to anybody thinking about competing.

Any races I have run in the past have been brilliantly run by the local clubs and some of the courses are super fast. Will definitely try and do some of the other races during the summer

Lovely day for a run!. Maybe 200 turned out. Mixture of runners and walkers. Start was a few minutes late to allow the stragglers make their way from the community centre.

Personally had a bad run. Either the milk in my porridge this morning (did taste a bit funny) or the salmon I had last night was off. Few visits to the loo this morning. Warmup seemed fine and into the first mile was ok but then the legs went. Felt like lead and stomach wasn’t the best. Ended up jogging most of the way.

My Ballycotton 5m splits were actually faster than I managed today.

Thanks to all who turned out to support this race. About 180 took part, slightly up on the 80 I was expecting!!!

I'll post results as soon as I have them typed up.

Next race in Meath Athletics Open Road Race League on Sunday 29th in Dunboyne, details at www.dunboyneac.com
