Stephen Carroll, the PSNI Officer shot last night, was a regular competitor at National Masters Track & Field competition in Ireland. He also regularly guested at Leinster Championships, both indoor and outdoor. He was a member of Lisburn AC. May he rest in peace.

I was sickened and shocked when I heard about the two soldiers and then the PSNI officer being murdered. When you hear Stephen Carroll was part of our own athletic communnity, it makes me even sadder.
