Create The Definitive Warp Album. Vote for your favourite ever Warp tracks here. Your top 10 (by different artists) will combine with our top 10 to make a historic album for release this Autumn. Leave personal messages and memories and the best will be printed in the album art. We Are Reasonable People.

Wow, 20 years! Not that I remember the very start, but I certainly remember relatively early days with some of the first Artificial Intelligence releases etc. Quality label though and hats off to them for remaining first of all in business when many others have failed, and secondly for pumping out numerous quality releases over the last 20 years. Thanks Warp and big respect!

That is wicked. Just glancing at it there I see plenty of my favourites. I'll spend a good while trawling through those tomorrow, it'll be fun to hear more.

Some quality artists on that list (wouldn't mind seein Drexciya moving further up though :) ).

Saw this in 'The Guardian'last week - http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/mar/27/warp-records-20th-anniversary-album
The British label Warp Records is to celebrate its second decade with a series of special gigs, previously unreleased archive material and an appealingly democratic compilation CD.
They have already invited votes for Warp 20, a celebratory "greatest hits" album that will be co-curated by the public. By logging into the website, fans can vote for their favourite Warp tracks – everyone from Aphex Twin to Grizzly Bear. On 8 May, voting will be closed and the 10 favourite songs of the great unwashed will be combined with 10 picks by Warp co-founder Steve Beckett. Users' comments, memories and messages will be printed as part of the album art.
Though the voting is currently dominated by actor/director/writer/artist/musician Vincent Gallo, Warp's catalogue is far more diverse, including the spectral nostalgia of Boards of Canada, the leafy bricolage of Prefuse 73, the Canadian yelps of Born Ruffians and the wistful synths of Max Tundra (although our personal favourite is Battles' Atlas).
Besides the Warp 20 compilation, the label has also announced a box set of "previously unreleased archive material" by some of their best-known artists. They will also launch a series of special gigs, in Paris (May), New York (July), Sheffield (August), London (September), and Tokyo (November).
Only the Paris concert has been detailed so far. Warp will celebrate at the Cité de la Musique with a two-night residency of live music, DJs, film, video and installation art. Among the artists performing on 8 and 9 May are Aphex Twin and Hecker, !!!, Flying Lotus, Andrew Weatherall and Seafeel. Tickets are on sale now.

Reckon they could be animal gigs, although tickets could be tough to come by.

    - LFO - LFO
    - Sabres of Paradise - Smoke Belch
    - A tune from Selected Ambient Works that I can't remember the name of but it's awesome :)
    - Pulsewidth, also from Selected Ambient Works

    Warp rules!

Wow, they'd be great gigs to get to... wonder what the chances of this coming to Dublin are? - slim I'd imagine :(

Most of my favourites are from the early days, I agree Dudess on LFO, was just listening the other day to the first LFO album, excellent from start to finish. Sabres of course brought out some amazing tunes, and one of the best defo being the David Holmes remix of Smokebelch.

Its funny with Aphex Twin and SAW that people tend to put it as a Warp release - it was actually on Apollo which was an ambient sub-label to R&S. Apollo is long gone so SAW was recently reissued on R&S. I'm an anorak though when it comes to these labels :o And Apollo is one of my favourites...

Cool, never heard that original before.. Sabres took something good and made it better though! Although in fairness, as did David Holmes when he got his hands on it.

Tracks now listed for the upcoming Warp 20 year anniversary release. Nice tracklisting, lots of more recent artists that I'm not familiar with also so will be nice to give them a listen. Pity we have to wait till late September...

It looks pretty cool alright... obviously designed to be very "desirable" :) The Chosen CD is basically a best-of... the Recreated CD could be pretty cool I think. The vinyl stuff would be fantastic but unfortunately I don't have the means to play vinyl :(

Absolutely, and the desirable element is what has me 100% sold and without doubt pre-ordering! If I were you I'd still get it, likely to become a collectors item and you can always pick up a turntable at some stage.
