    Is anyone doing this race? Should be great fun in a beautiful part of Waterford where John Treacy is from.

    The course is pretty fast and really scenic. This is where John Treacy done alot of his training as a young lad growing up in villerstown.

    You're in West Waterford so this'll mean more to you than most but AFAIK it goes from Villierstown over to Kereen (the Clashmore road), then towards Cappoquinn and back to Villierstown via Dromana.
    If anyone's done the Dromana 5 the last 4 mile or so of this race will be in the opposite direction. There'll be a couple of nice pulls in it.

    Got John Tracey's autograph in 1980(!!:eek:) well before his Olympic heroics, so I have a special connection with the man and would definitely be up for this.

    As far as I remember I got his autograph on the inside of a Wrigley's chewing gum wrapper at an athletics meeting in Portlaw (run by Bally AC?).
