    I might have a look but I have a feeling that I will be looking at €400 +

    I got an 80 gig one in the north with 3 games for €312 (£280 before money conversion!) really good deal. Bit of driving/bus journey involved though... You won't find many places that deliver here from the UK, if any

    I did my shopping around.
    GAME = 399 with Killzone 2
    HMV = 412 With Killzone 2
    GameStop = 399 with Killzone 2
    Smiths = 399 with Killzone 2

    The shops up north or even online sell for £279, that is around €310. Give or take a few quid.

    I cannot understand the markup. Vat in ireland is 21.5% so that would mean the console is €314 before Vat.

    The english rate of Vat is 15% which makes the english console €263.5 before vat.

    So we have a €60 difference. Can we blame higher rent , no not really.. The overheads for an online store cost pretty much the same wherever you are. Can you blame postage.. Not really, as the Irish stores the post are still crazy..

    I would buy one in dublin for €340 but the €400 is a joke..

    Ah.. Rant over

    Ah sure, you just don't understand economics and exchange rates either.

    Don't worry your little head about it.

    Very welcome you are.

    Buy it in Argos up North if it is an option. You can get it with 2 games free (KZ2, R2, LBP, GT:Prologue, Motostorm2. For 293 sterling.

    They won't deliver to Eire obviously. LOL the .ie website has a PS3 with nothing free for 399e. Now that is a rip I grant you.

    Also I heard shopto.net WILL deliver to Ireland. Someone around here got one at Xmas.
