Unregistered posting in parenting and subforums.

Have the issues with this been resolved so that it can be enabled ?

The reason I am asking is that the new subforum of PI has Unregistered posting
and I was lead to believe that the issues with the parenting forum and sub forums was to do with the existence of the subforums.

The problem here is that us Smods don't have access to alter access masks on forums for user groups. That's what allows Unreg posting to be enabled on a forum. The PI subforum came about because we can duplicate a forum, so Ber duplicated the PI forum and its access masks, which made it possible to allow unreg posting.

So to sum up - there's no reason why unreg posting can't be set up on all three forums, but an admin will have to do it.

Ross atempted this before but it threw up so many issues that he had to disable it but that was adding unregging posting to an existing forum.

Maybe there is a way to moved out all the posts from the subforums, kill them off,
then spawn new subforums by "cloning" and move the threads back in ?

Or would that have to be done with the main parenting forum as well ?

Any news on this, there are threads being started in PI which the op would have prefered to be in parenting but due to the lack of unreggistered posting it's not possible.

Not sure if any of your co-mods are familiar with approving unregged posts. Would you mind educating them?
