Not sure who else here is confirmed for Berlin in September, but I've been monitoring the Aer Lingus site for the past few weeks waiting for the price to drop on these flights.

They seem to have introduced some discounts today, and a return flight, out on Friday, back on Monday is €145 all-in, down from €175 yesterday.

Have booked at that price, as it's probably the cheapest it's likely to go.

I booked my flights last week to berlin. Cost me €160 which included €30 bag and so on. I am flying out the Thursday and coming back monday from Dublin with Aer Lingus. Looked at flights for Ryanair but they were more expensive than Aer Lingus. I can't wait for it. It is going to be my first marathon. Have you booked accommodation yet?

I'm staying in 2 hotels due to my own stupidity
Kempinski Hotel Bristol Berlin for 2 nights
Hotel Elba am Kurfürstendamm for one night
    Booked them ages ago

Booked early as well, flights in December for €95 with ryanair - Staying in the Hotel Berlin - Thurs- Mon. The whole lot is costing about €350 for flights and accommodation. Never been to Berlin so looking forward to seeing a few sights as well as everything else.

We'll have to arrange a meet up out there maybe do a few gentle miles on the friday evening somewhere as a group.

Aldon is right at the start, finish but it is even more pricey. You do get a butler though, and if you're bringing anyone with you, it is pure indulgence.

Thanks for the reminder on flights, I just booked my Frankfurt/Zurich trip for July. €260 for both of us including bags but excluding bike.

At those rates, they'd want to guarantee a sub-three hour marathon. ;)

If I give him my number will he be able to run a 2:30 marathon for me? ;)

I've booked an apartment just north of the Tiergarten where the race starts and finishes. I like having a fridge and cooker so I'm not running round Berlin on Saturday night trying to find somewhere serving platefuls of pasta.

Do you have a website for where you booked the apt?
If you put me up in the Aldon for a few days, I'll run a 2:30 for you. :D

I might hold you to that!

The site I used was http://www.ferienwohnung-zimmer-berlin.de/Unterkuenfte-eng/suche.php - it seems to be run by a general tourist organisation. I got a small apartment for two people for 68 euro per night off it.

I booked an apartment from thur to mon. http://www.only-apartments.com/
I got an apartment for €24 a night and 3kms from startline which is very good.
The areas in berlin which are close to the start line are:
    Tiergarten
    Mitte
    Wedding
    Schoneberg
    Charlottenburg
    Kreuzberg.
All of these areas are close enough to the start line.

I'm in Hotel Transit (Hagelberger Str). Booked it through hostelworld.com. 186EUR for a single room for 3 nights.

Forgot to say the startline is in tiergarten so if you get accommodation there, perfect.
