I tried AGNULA a few years ago. To my recollection it worked fine with M-Audio and RME interfaces.
An other dedicated audio distribution is Ubuntu Studio.
Never got Linux to work properly on my last PC so I haven't dabbled with it for years. Now I'm on Mac and have no desperate need to find an alternative OS
