Why can't you go to Canada?

I'd go to Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway. Maybe Iceland, but that just be because I've been seeing too much Iceland propaganda.

    Norway.

You have to admire a country that spotted a world recession and stocked up.

    Clever lot

las vegas, its cheaper there now because of the recession than it has been for over 15 years, you can now get 700ft+ suites in five star hotels on the strip for the same price as a ran-down "hotel " on gardiner street, or a fraction of the price of a tiny box room in manhattan, san francisco, london or paris

if not there then the hills of donegal :D

St Petersburg in Russia, nowhere like it.

Cannot wait for the day Ryanair or any other airline do a direct flight...and they drop the visa requirements.

    Prague or Rome

New Zealand is a good bet as I recently spoke to an "Immigration New Zealand" official at the Jobs and Recruitment fair at CeBIT 2009 in Hannover last week.

Somewhere in Europe maybe Germany, at least you won't have too far to go to other countries to look for work if it didn't work out for you

    Yes I am.
Not a hope. Theyz mine. Ive requested advance prescription till 2015, I will have a brief 'Spoon, cortans! Gobshïte!' moment, before deciding to go back or croak it from painfully boring realism of what is actually happening.

Tip: Go to GP, froth at the mouth. Say yes to everything till consultation is done. You might even enjoy it.

I'd like the go back to Japan. Do a full trip around the country this time.

    Iran, going in October.

And Madagascar. Those three stick out in my mind right now.

If you're just finished college i think you can still get a student visa.

Or just go somewhere really hot!! - Brazil or Cuba, you'd be really rich there! :)

I hear Rigel 7 is lovely this time of year. You can hitch a ride on my Klingon Bird of Prey. We have to make a quick time warp to the 20th century to pick up some humpback whales though...

I'd like to go to Japan.

Asian women + love hotels + arcades = win

If you have the money go backpacking around South America, it's awesome. The reason Canada is a no go for working is that the visas are all gone already, they start in December. I know because I have one :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 698 ✭✭✭nitrogen

How about a working holiday visa for Japan.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,243 ✭✭✭kelle

OP, what kind of a qualification have you got? If it's anything in the health profession, there are locum posts in the UK(except for Physiotherapy, where NZ seems the only outlet ATM). The UK is only across the water and, thanks to Ryanair is cheaper to get to and come home for the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,220 ✭✭✭✭Loopy

I would go to Bali - best holiday I ever had..

Not exactly possible unless you're black. Mugabe took the farms from all the whites a few years back. Most of them moved to Zambia after that. Those that didn't are in jail still.

Go to Sweden. Not badly affected by the economic crisis, beautiful people, nice cities, great infrastructure.

The downside is the weather. It's been snowing since feckin' November. Sick of the stuff.
