Can anyone suggest any budget accomodation close to the airport for an early morning flight?

Also, is it possible to leave your car there for a day trip?

    this depends how early

i would recommend travelodge on the swords road, its about 1 miles from the terminal and dublin bus (number 41) stops just a few feet down the road, serves starts @ 5am monday-friday and 06:10am saturday and 06:30am on sunday

What kind of Budget is "budget"?

You could stay in Dublin and get the air coach or the public bus to the airport.

Cheapest in Dublin Airport complex midweek is the Clarion at €82. for 2 people.

You could stay in the Premier Inn in Swords for €69.

Both will include a shuttle to the airport door. Budget accomodation will not and getting an early morning flight means you would invariably need a taxi adding to the cost.

You could always try thee Flyover Bed & Breakfast in Whitehall, Santry on the main bus corridor but again if its really early then there will be no bus. Average price €30 per person so coming to €60 but bear in mind you wont be getting the breakfast you are paying for and have to add a taxi at around €8-10(because of the early hour) so you may as well stay in the Carlton, Clarion, Premier Inn, Bewelys etc etc.

OR The Holiday Inn Express in Santry which is coming in at €59 Room only and they have a shuttle. You would have to check directly how much.

I think the Holiday Inn is your best bet. My GF stayed there and said it was very nice.

Ok, I dont want to give away my best kept secret but there is an amazing B+B on the swords road called Glenmore House. Its a regular B+B (nowt fancy) but they do great breakfasts and the rooms are clean and comfy and the staff are nice.

They key to me is that it is only 10mins by taxi from the airport and there is a bus stop 1 minute from the place itself so u have the budget option. Also you can park your car there free for the duration of your holiday!! Thats saving you a packet.

I stayed there last year and paid €79 for a double room plus full brekkie. We are also staying there soom and will pay €80 for a triple including continental brekkie. A steal.

you can stay at bewleys for something like 69 or 79 and u can leave the car there and they have their own bus which brings you to airport at whatever time you like as far as i know.

Bewleys are doing rooms out there for €59 - any night of the year as long as you book in advance.

Bewleys is good, brekkie is extra and carparking in 8 or 9€ a day.
