Thanks dmcg90, I got the key from them in an email. It mentions loading the software from a CD that came with some magazine. Any idea if the software is downloadable somewhere?

    Maybe this :
    "Demo
The trial version is distributed as a bootable CD with the built-in Total Defrag driver in read and write mode. It follows that you can appreciate the Total Defrag driver at its true value before purchasing it."

Anyone figured out how you install that license on the trial version?

(by the way the link above is still working and I just got my email from them)

    This one worked for me.

    <SNIP>

    :pac:

MOD EDIT: Johnny Storm.. you honestly think a MegaUpload link would be the standard of how a company would distribute their software.

Sorry. That link came up on Google

    Bit harsh there.
I downloaded the megaupload link and it didn't contain any illegal content like serial or keygen. It seemed to be the actual file that was on the magazine CD....

FWIW and not in any way to look a gift horse in the mouth, that s/ware took approx 13+ hours solid in "safe-boot" type mode to defrag my 250GB system disk which was about 75% full. It would not run in Windows mode.

Nothing harsh about it.. it's for people's own safety!

Fair enough if it did contain a legitimate download.. but Rapidshare / Megaupload / Netload (etc) should not be used for linking to software or executables of any kind.

It's one thing to say it didn't contain a keygen or software.. but if someone downloaded what "seemed to be the actual file that was on the magazine CD" off the link and it was a virus, it'd be a different story - wouldn't it?!

I mean Johnny Storm even admitted "that link came up on Google"! :D

Just got this email from Paragon.
    Dear Savemejebus,

Thank you for the interest in our software. We know that you have recently registered at http://www.paragon-software.com/registration/td2009.html to receive the Special Edition of Total Defrag 2009, yet you did not receive the download link for the software. Unfortunately this is due to somebody posting a link in the forum to a promotion that has already expired. The promotional page was specially created to unlock a Special Edition that was distributed via a magazine for a limited time only.

We would like to thank you for your interest in our Paragon defrag utility and we would like to offer you the full version of Paragon Total Defrag 2009 instead. We hope it will help your PC and you will enjoy using it!

You can download the product for FREE in Your Account - https://www.paragon-software.com/my-account/login.htm with your login data

    Pretty decent of them.

Got the link on Gizmodo so thought it was valid enough, never mentioned anything about a magazine IIRC. Sorry to anyone affected by this problem.
