"Jaykers, der's a bomb in me potato."

Sorry but what the **** is funny about that? Your man sounds constipated when he's saying it. That one chap puts me off Irish comedy.

The rest of the goons they're advertising don't give the weekend any hope either. The girly-haired Byrne fella: what a tard. The other Byrne seems a bit dramatic. Dara O'Briain is just not good at all. His 800 years joke is...well...100 years old. His British mail joke was crap. Neil Delamere never struck me as funny.

Are this shower the best Ireland has?

I think Ed Byrne is quite funny tbh, and I didn't see any problem with 'Jaykers der's a bomb in me patatoes' Just the way he said it, In fact i've been saying it to myself all day today

As for your question, Can't say anyone is really that funny in Ireland other then Ed Byrne. The worst is Tommy Tiernan who thinks he's so cool and a god or something yet he goes on the Late Late Show so much he's practically Pat's assistant. Anyone who goes on the Late Late show to me kind've tells me that they are washed up, except fr the American and Britsh actors who don't really know the Late Late Show and are fooled by RTE in order to make an appearence

God Dermott Morgan must be turning in his grave seen what what S**t actors Father Ted helped become famous

I'd say he'd be more pissed at the state of the country than a few lads tryin ta make people laugh.

This place could do with a new Scrap Saturday, show some of this shower up for what they are!

Neil Delamare is 1000% better all of them combined.

I find Dylan Moran to be funny than any of the people you mentioned. So no, they're not the best Ireland has to offer.

I haven't seen the ad either, but where's the best comedian Ireland has at the minute - Dave O'Doherty? Gentle whimsy at its best!

That one chap puts me off Irish comedy.

That one chap won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, the biggest award in stand-up comedy, so apparently a few people don't share your opinion

Seen Ed over 10 years ago live, same old, same old, really.

I think Tommy was hilarious until 2/3 years ago. Though he could be a potential Billy Connolly. Disappointed in the last 2/3 years.

Dermot was brilliant. Seen him live after the Lansdowne riots in 95, he was testing new material. Brilliant. He dealt with hecklers brilliantly, original and totally unscripted. Even Dermot had his writer block periods.

Think he's class. Love his "kids are midget drunks" line. So true.

Has he much new stuff in the last few years?

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

You have to understand that these videos were shot in the UK for a UK audience. They are playing to the audience, not to their Irish homeland.

I found it funny. But I've never seen the ad so I had to recite it in my head with a made up comedy voice (imagine the Leprechaun king from Darby O'Gill)

I think if I heard the sentence coming out of Uncle Festers mouth tho I'd probably be in agreement that it wasn't funny.
