I recently posted a note on the Creative Writing thread under the Arts forum. I thought it would be appropriate to mention it on this topic in case anyone here would be interested in reading a short (five minutes) historical fiction piece dealing with the Irish struggle for independence. As noted there, it is loosely based upon a story I heard from my Irish uncle. It’s poignant and more than a tad tragic. Some might find it controversial as well, though I intended absolutely no political statement. Sometimes, times can be ugly indeed.
