Mocks?

    Okay I hope no one has asked this question I couldnt find it anyway:D

    Does anyone know how much percentage if you work until the jc your marks go up from the mocks?

    No hard and fast rule about it really. It depends on how much you work between your mocks and your JC. Also, if you didn't have the course finished when you did your mocks that's obviously gonna impact your marks. I'd hazard a guess at 10%, but... can't really know!

    To pass the Junior Cert., do three things

    1. Believe you can.

    2. Answer the correct number and/or combination of questions.

    3. Answer the question you are being asked.


    Failing to do 2 is the number one cause of people failing, in most subjects.

    The JC is an exam designed to maximise your success.

    Look over your mocks and understand where you lost marks and try to make sure you do not do the same in June.

    I'm the only person I know whos marks actually went DOWN from the mocks to the real thing! 4 A's in mocks, 1 in real thing!

    well im doing the leaving atm and we were told on average it increases from 10-15% but as i said thats an average!you could increase by way more or less!

    our teachers are sayin that you wil go up a grade to most people.

    My business teacher said they go up roughly 7% up from mocks to JC:)

    You can't really assume that your marks will automatically go up! If you start doing that you'll find that you'll work less and might end up doing worse. You should work as hard as you can and do your best! It doesn't matter by how much your grade goes up or down!

    failed my higher history in my mock

    got an a in the jc

    BUST MY HOLE STUDYING! just so i could shove that a in my teachers face :)
