NCT tyre thread - paid re test ?

I have the nct next week. On the front tyres, the outside thread is a bit low, should pass as only needs 75% across center. If it does fail on the tyres , is it a paid or free re test ? If it's a paid re test, I'll get new tyres, if not I'm going to leave them for a few months. Thanks

It's a free re-test. I had to go back last year as one of my rear tyres failed.
