Maynooth mentioned in strange and different places

Hey- just wondering have people ever spotted Maynooth mentioned in 'weird places' or in places you would not expect? :D

The reason I ask- is because generally I think Maynooth is sort of ignored- Trinity/UCD etc are bigger (and maybe more important universities) and they get so much more coverage in media etc.

anyway the other reason is because I was reading a book called A Divided Paradise An Irishman in Holyland- which is about an Irish journalist time living in Palestine (decent book- have not finished it yet) but the writer David Lynch is writing about life in this university he went to in the West Bank and then out of nowhere he suddenly starts writing about his time as a student in Maynooth.

It was just weird that the reference popped up out of no where, when I was not expecting it

Anyway has anybody ever come across a strange or different reference to Maynooth uni anywhere or in anyplace?

When I was in Budapest last year, was in a sauna in our hotel and got chatting to a really nice couple, turned out they were from Maynooth and I think one of them is a student here too.
