    Sorry the title should be:
Can I stop MY benefit for two months then return?

can't seem to edit the title.

    Hi,

Im entitled to 9 months job seekers benefit. Have been on it since Nov last so it runs out in August.

Ive been offered work in a bar in India for the months of July and August, a friend owns the place, its cash in hand and though I wont make money Ill save alot by not living here and paying rent (two friends are willing to rent my place while im away).

If I dont find work before then I'd like to take it considering it'll be an experience, but I was hoping if I stopped my job seekers benefit from july and August would I be able to claim the 2 months im entitled to claim when I return?

I know if I worked here I could but it being India Im guessing there may be a problem.

I know they would expect im still seeking work but would emails suffice? or does leaving for work outside the EU cause problems.

    Thanks alot for any help.
