They are nice shots. I'd love to see the originals. I agree with you on #1. Especially the green in the backround looks too intense for me.

Thanks xia, the originals are so dull trust me you would laugh at the difference if you say them. yeah, thought so myself and a mate said the same. The other two are ok though yeah?

Great subject, I think you went a little bit to far with the processing, any chance you can bang the originals up for us to look at??

The other two are fine for me, as the colour of the leaf and the backround support the robin in my eye. But I am not the best to judge pp as I have no experience in it myself .

Like the shots, though too much saturation.

I quite like no.2. Well done!

The colour temp looks a little warm to me and a bit heavy on the saturation, might be worth a second look with everything toned down slightly.

Yep they look oversturated to me as well, nice pictures otherwise!.

Can I ask you what lens you were using? There's loads of robins around my place lately but I just can't get close enough to them to get a decent picture.

Thank you and yes you surely can,

I'm using the sigma 70-300 dg apo lense. I love this lense, cheap not too heavy, af is slow but not too slow. perfect for zoo's or wildlife snaps. Would work for your garden birds or else you could get a remote trigger and set up the cam near a feeder. Either or...

    Thanks for the info!

I really should get that lens, my dad has it for his canon and the image quality is good for its price. I've been trying to get shots of robins with my 18-200mm but when you focus on stuff that are close it's not really 200mm so it's almost useless.

it's a bargain of a lense, there is one on adverts for 130 now, my advice go get it. you wont regret it. Although the canon model isnt too much dearer now either.

    Good work!
I like the last one the most.
But no.2 is quite good colors wise but no.3's composition is slightly better imo...
No. 1 does get a little overpowering cuz of the bright green background.

But overall you're heading in the right direction!

Oh and i should have had guessed it the lens was the Sigma 70-300. I have that lens too and it does have quite a distinctive bokeh. Its not something i'ld call soft though... It's slightly on the harsher side but for its price, that'll do!
