    Heading to Thailand in May and was just wondering should I order Thai Bhats in Ireland before I go or would I be better off bringing Sterling and exchange currency when I arrive in Thailand??? Thanks

    Are you earning in sterling ? If not then why convert your money twice. There are lots of Forexs in Thailand who will all take €.

    You're better off getting Thai Baht in advance IMO. Depending where you are in Thailand, you may not get a favorable rate. For example, if you are near a border or in a very touristy area you may end up having to use unlicensed money changers who will charge you whatever rate they want. I see no clear advantage in waiting until you are there.

    I got Thai Baht in my local BoI no problems. Best to get some cash in advance. No problem using ATMs over there.

    There are plenty of opportunities in the arrivals hall at the airport to change € to THB. Also your ATM card will work in most if not all ATMs in Thailand.If you are bringing in €'s larger denom notes tend to get a slightly better exchange rate.
