    Hi All,

    I just got a new laptop and it has vista, how can i extend the time before it turns it self to standby when its not in use ?

    Right click the battery icon and go to power settings, click on a power plan to change its basic settings. From there you can change advanced settings for that power plan by clicking on the blue link on that page.

    Also I don't know why but I've found its generally a bad idea to put it to sleep in High Performance mode - it rarely ever works. Switch to Power Saver before entering Sleep Mode.
