[POLL] DoW2 Expansion - Will you buy it?

I thought since the game has been out a while now it is time for a little poll to see how people feel about the game.

Five options, don't think any of them require any explanation. I know there are a couple of other options I could put there but want to keep it simple. For the sake of the poll assume a straight up copy ala DoW1 so one or two new races, a few more single mission maps in a story and one more unit per existing side.

After playing the Beta I decided against it. I have issues with games that clearly intend to fleece you dry with expansions.

i picked up the DoW1 anthology for 35.99. DoW, WA, DC and SS.

I would def pay for an expansion for Necrons.
I would really want more multiplayer maps and a extension to the campaign.

Relic Entertainment are only currently discussing the options of an expansion, which will (rumour has it) be a multiplayer expansion. I doubt there will be an expansion this year. I hope they have some DLC by christmas (ork campaign!)

But they are patching, 1 a month. They're currently just working on free upgrades, like the new 2on2 maps coming out soon. And they're improving the AI.

I didn't buy dow2, I got it for free, and I'm probably gonna try to get the expansion as well. Haven't played it yet though (cept the beta) what do I go down as?

dow2 is a fun game, it's one of those things where you go wow @ explosms etc.
the campaign is good, I'm told, and I'd be more than happy to pay €10 for an ork campaign or an eldar campaign

It'll be interesting to see who they would include in an expansion,I'd definitely buy it anyway.

New races would be the obvious choice.

I've got the final mission to do, so not quite sure how it ends, but I'd guess an Imperial Guard expansion, maybe Chaos, Dark Eldar, Necrons etc.

One thing that was a bit disappointing about DOW 2 was that the campaign was only a Space Marine one... I'd love to have played that campaign from an Eldar perspective too, or even an Orkish one. I.e. trying to secure the worlds in question to hold off the Tyranids.

I'm still living it up with Dark Crusade but you saying that gives me a huge disincentive to get DOW2! Or at least until they bring out some expansions...

More balance updates, with changes to some armies, Tyranids loose rippers and gain another unit in it's place.

The update adds 8 new multiplayer maps to the game. 4 1v1, 2 2v2 and 2 3v3 maps.

It's a multiplayer sided update but still and update! and freeeeeeeeeeeeee! Hopefully we'll find out how much extra stuff is added besides maps soon.

Aw.

I've not played DOW 1, somehow it escaped me. (By somehow I mean my crippling WoW addiction meant I never bothered.)

But DOW 2's actually got a fun single player game, sort of Diablo crossed with a strategy squad game. Well put together.

I'd just love more variety though, biggest weakness of games like C and C in my mind was always the limited variety of factions leading to limited numbers of playing styles.

mantel, it's not an expansion, just a patch.

this patch should bring the game to release worthiness, imo.

Patpansion? or expatchsion? Seems to be all the rage these days. At least it's not extra maps for microsoft points.

Tried a few skirmishes against the AI and meh. Really nowhere near as much fun as the campaign.
