    Has anyone experienced this lately?
I'm using Mozilla 5.0 on a Dell Dimension 2800 with Windows XP Home.

I actually laughed out loud at your simple but true response!!

Back to the original poster check under > help > about firefox > to see your version, if your some way up to date it should be 3.x.x

What you quoted was the version of what I think is called the core of the browser, mine is:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7

Other than that, what was the last page you loaded or list of pages you had open,

    Disable all add ons
then enable one at a time restarting firefox each time.

This might identify a problem page or add on.

    Regards,
    Derry

:oYeah, it's 3.0.7 - I read the Mozilla/5.0 bit and ploughed on regardless.

Do you get any messages when it crashes? Does Youtube work OK?

Quite often it's the Adobe Flash Player that causes crashes. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Flash Player, if it keeps happening.
