The Home Ec. practicals are being held between March 23rd and April 3rd.
There would not be enough qualified supervisors and assessors to hold them all on the one day.

I was bricking it before doing mine, but honestly - you end up forgetting the examiner is there. Often the examiner is really nice and actually enjoys eating your food.
    Don't worry ;)

What do ya do with the equipment? Do you wash it and put it on the table when your food is still cooking and then show her?

Do you have to wash the serving dishes in the hour and a half?

Yes, whilst my food was cooking, I washed my equipment and placed it neatly on the table. Not everyone did it but I was told to so I did.

Then, after the examiner has tasted the food you can wash the serving plate if you have time. The amount of marks lost for the washing dishes bit is tiny so don't worry about that.
The examiner isn't some evil person that wants you to fail - they want you to be relaxed and show off your basic cookery skills.

Also, may I suggest having a table cloth & nice serving dishes when dishing up the food - put in the effort to impress.
I brought in all my own table setting things and it looked like I'd put a lot of thought into it.

    Relax - it's fine :)

    had mine today!
its so easy... you feel so nervous at the beginning of the 1 and a half hours! i felt flustered and all over the place but in a few minutes when you've started using the equiptment and know what you are doing, it really feels like the examiner isnt there (until she comes over and stares you out of it!:pac:)..
