X-Factor Style Court Cases

How about we make the big interesting cases into a TV Show. We can have all of the court case shown live and people can text in their verdict, guilty or innocent. Instead of voting cards being sent out - a code can be and then everybody gets one vote like a referendum. Everyone wins - money for RTE - money through text costs for government - and best of all, something decent on TV.

Yeh, but I mean where the public decide the verdict
I originally was thinking that if cases had referendums on their verdict it would stop rapists and druggies spending only 2 years in jail. If we the public decide what's a fair sentence I dont see why we can be so unhappy with most given out. the Tv idea was just a way of making this work!

If it is going to be called X-Factor style court cases - don't think any of the cases will be taken serious imo

Instead of letting everyone be involved I say just have a small number, let's say 12.

And instead of having them text in following a tv show (as pointed out, not everyone has TV), I say we have them attend the court for the duration of the trial.

It's crazy, but it might just work...
