is it the top 40 best selling items, with 10 items the author lobbed in, cos he owns them? i suspect so. how does the Wattbike creep into place 17... at £1650, that sh*t is ludicrous.

would really like some of that rapha stuff tho, jersey + stowaway jacket! tasty. so for the moment i'm stuck at 4.

Since when on this site does justifying cycling gear come into it!! :D
Buy now and worry about the bill later!!!

And will be paying a visit to the Rapha site later! And not eating for the rest of the month! !:)

Has anyone been in contact with Rapha about doing a special edition Boards jersey? If they did it for Independent Fabrications....

True, however it does get ridiculous. I have calculated that I have spend as much on gear/accessories since Christmas, that would have allowed me to go out and order the Mercian frame that I want.
I mean this is completly crazy. I could have a beutiful new bike in a few months, instead I have more gear than I will ever wear, for every conceivable type of weather.
Is there something like the AA for people who complusively buy cycling gear.

Hello. My name is ROK On. It has been 2 days since my last Rapha purchase.
My wife now catches me looking at the Rapha website all evening. I feel so embarassed. I am becoming obsessed. I think she would prefer if I was looking at porn.

I now feel the need to buy the White african sheepskin gloves.
    I NEED HELP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,920 ✭✭✭Vélo

While on a drive with my Family recently, my wife said "Is all you do look at bikes". She was referring to me looking at what bikes people were cycling, I replied "would you prefer I was looking at women". She didn't really answer, so I think it's worrying her also.

I'm tempted by them or the white Grand Tour ones ROK_ON is eyeing -they're mighty tasty!

That hoodie is very nice. Also I am mightily impressed by the way that the company selling that hoodie jacket is helping out the homeless community by donating some of the jackets to that poor chap. God bless'em:D

I got a pair of the Criterium gloves last week. They're still in the process of stretching to a perfect fit (well, Sunday wasn't exactly prime conditions for fingerless gloves now, was it) but I'd already be confident that they are going to be as comfortable as they are stylish. And they are indeed damn stylish.
These are what I want for to go with the Mercian...

I'm tempted too but I'm really hesitant to buy shoes without trying them on first....

Taking this to a different level.... hands up all those of you that have/had ordered the Magnus Backstedt coffee?

I feel a serious urge to shop coming on. I just looked at my bank account and my wife managed to spend €268 on a poxy hair do:eek:.

That must justify at least €1000 on cycling gear.

    Let me see

    Rapha Fixed Jacket €220
    Rapha Leather Town Gloves €130
    Rapha Cycling Cap €28
    Dromarti Shoes €185
    SWRVE softshell trousers €120
    _________
    Total €683

This leaves €317, so if anyone has any suggestions as to how I could spend it, it would be much appreciated.

That's if we actually have any money left.:(

I sent dromarti an email about the sizing. I explained I'm a 43 in Shimano shoe and they said their sizing is the same, if that's any help to you. Goods can also be exchanged if they don't fit.

Replace the RaphaFixed Jacket with the tweed softshell that covers most of the 317 difference.
As this is all cycling gear you can buy it under bike to work scheme - so should cost yo circa 600 net of tax.
