Allergy to Sweets!

    Hi

I've noticed a pattern with my son when he has had a high intake of sugar, such as after a birthday party. He gets bad cramps, often vomits and his heart beat can race. I can not find any information on allergies to sugar except for lactose. I don't think that is it as he drinks milk every day with no problems. I also don't think it has anything to do with gluten. I've sent him for a diabetes test, which came back all clear.

Does anybody know where I can get information on this or has anyone else experienced something similar?
    Thanks

    Not an allergy to sweets/sugar
could he be sensitive to enumber additives

This will be a tricky thing for your GP to be honest unless you can produce for him the various packets to allow for some research

I think you might be right, thanks. He had his own birthday a week ago and no problems as we controlled the food. We'll try to monitor the intake to localize the problem.
