Im on an Acer Aspire 5920G

SO this p***es me off so much

I have my time on laptop correct
and every now and again IT LIKES TO GO BACK 1 HOUR or 2
    By itself!

What the hell is this about, I always loose track of time as I go by this clock at the bottom right of my screen.

Even when I click it I go into it and the Display clock shows the Correct time...
    WtF???

Did you check your regional settings in Control Panel? Its likely you are set to some timezone thats not GMT, and its causing an automatic reset of the time.

Check Acer's website as it may have a patch
My PB had a similar problem and PB's website had a patch for it!
