hey im having trouble recording sound with my laptop. i use ableton live software to record but the sound received off my mic(tried both built-in mic and external mic) is high pitched and crackly. i aslo tried recording on the basic windows sound recorder yet that results the same. could it be a problem with my sound…

hey im having trouble recording sound with my laptop. i use ableton live software to record but the sound received off my mic(tried both built-in mic and external mic) is high pitched and crackly. i aslo tried recording on the basic windows sound recorder yet that results the same. could it be a problem with my sound card?? it seems to only be with recording because all other audio works fine coming from the pc! its a sony vaio ns series btw!
Please help me its driving me mad! thanks
