Going Demented

Going to Bruce in July in RDS.

Never myself been to dublin (born there thats about it).

Want to book a hotel shortly and no clue of any good hotels in dublin. Only staying the one night - Sunday.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay. No doubt himself will want to go on a tear afterwards so somewhere near a rake of bars i reckon. (im 28 he's 32 and big into the social scene)

You could look into Bewley's Hotel just across the road from the RDS. The rates there are reasonable though it might be booked out. You could look into the Four Seasons, Herbert Park Hotel or any of the hotels at www.d4hotels.com but those would be expensive. However, I just did a search on Trip Advisor and found 8 hotels in the Ballsbridge area with availability:

Alter-Ego

Loads of hotels and B&Bs around that area. You could stay in the city centre and get a taxi out to the RDS, its less than 10 minutes from town.

Can highly recommend this place - you'll get a bed and decent breakfast and its across the road from the RDS. Could be booked out but worth checking too. It's a B&B but it is fairly big and will do the job.

Go to www.d4hotels.com and on the bottom right click the right arrow, click on the cloud, password is BOARDS. €39 per room per night. Beside the RDS too.
