The short answer is simply to eat more high quality food. Carbs when you exercise, protein and good fats throughout the day.

The longer answer needs more input from you. What are you currently eating (foodstuffs, amounts, times)? What training are you doing? What do you weigh now, what have you previously weighed (and were happy with) and how fast have you lost weight.

I was 12 stone and im gone down to 11 now. im 5ft 8in and i dont really want to loose any more weight. I eat fish once a week, chicken, steak maybe once a week, and generous portions. I Dont really eat that much red meat. I eat lots of fruit and thats usually my breakfast. im training 5 days plus a long walk on Sunday.

I find im getting tired lately, maybe its the fact that im nearly 38, what you think?

I'd say if you post your typical days diet and exercise somoen maybe able to help. You can calculate your enegry needs and what your getting from food. From the sounds of it you may not be eating enough.

    Whats you're training like?
    Whats you're daily diet?

Have you had any issues in the past that might cause the weight to drop off? I only ask as I struggle to keep the weight off despite a heathly diet and training.

Anybody got a decent pasta sauce recipe ? I'll be talking through my nose if I consume any more of LG's sauces.

Anybody got a decent pasta sauce recipe ? I'll be talking through my nose if I consume any more of LG's sauces.

A real simple one I do every now and again involves cooking a chopped onion in oil for a few minutes. Lob in a tin of chopped tomatos and add a table spoon of tomato purey. Salt it, rip up a few leaves of basil and cook on a low heat while your pasta is cooking up. To add variety to it sometimes I'll add chopped mushrooms for the last few minutes, chillis, other times finely chopped sugar snaps or peppers (if you've already roasted the peppers they add a bit more flavour).

That sounds within my capabilities. I wonder how long this would keep in the fridge / freezer ?

Anyone with any sauce recipies to add ?

get your hands on 'Eating for endurance'. you can work out your needs in grams of carb and protein per kg of body weight per day. easy to do.

Weight loss is nothing to worry about. In someone who's training it's not a sign of poor health. You are 5' 8" - so 11 stone is still not light for you to be honest. Most 5' 8" runners would be closer to or under 10 stone... many around 9.5 stone. The lighter you are the less you get injured and the faster you'll be (speaking for running.. tri's might be diff I don't know perhaps the bouyancy helps :) ).

    .
If you're getting tired maybe your iron is low especially if you're not eating much red meat. If you're a woman this is even more likely. Or you could just be tired from training esp of you've gone to 5 days quickly.

Can somebody tell me how to quote a previous poster. I click on quote but it doesn't work.
