    Had a listen..

I think they sound like a hundred other Dublin bands.

I can't fathom why so many people think it's a good idea to sound like a watered down version of U2.

Be honest... they are mates of yours.

I think "NuIndie" is a genre that only exists in the minds of people who've convinced themselves they hate it.

"not married" is vague... engaged? dating?

    sister?

    sister AND dating?

    that's sick.

    definitely something though.

So if you promote well known bands here you can't be their friends but if you promote lesser known bands you must know them.Well at least they are actually off making music as opposed to sitting on the internet pretending to know things...

No, by all means promote away. However, it does call into question your objectivity when you make the claim that they are 'one of the best Irish bands in a long time' and then admit that they are your mates.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to read between the lines and come up with the conclusions in your last post. As far as I am aware nobody suggested anything of the sort, nor am I sure why you have become quite so defensive.

Let's not start another slagging match about Hotpress please. ;)

Don't worry HouseHippo. If you were a one-post wonder who suddenly popped up raving about a band we'd be suspicious but you've got a genuine interest in the Irish scene so most people will realise that.

Apologies! I assumed that because I asked it first you were responding to me. How very egocentric!
