Could anyone recommend a good DS game review magazine for me? I know you probably can't get one exclusive to DS games, so I guess I'm asking which one covers DS games more thoroughly.

NGamer is probably your best bet. There's also the free route by looking at metacritic.

    Thanks, I'll look into it.

I don't like using sites like Metacritic. Or any internet review site, for that matter. I think that you find out more about the games from magazines. Makes you feel more "intimate" with what is coming up.

I reckon that if you want to know about how good a game is then a total picture on it is very helpfull and news and updates regarding games that are forthcoming are a good way to do that.

For this stuff the internet beats the Print media out the door, magazines are a month out of date by the time you read them, maybe more, I haven't bothered with them for a long time.

The best site IMO is IGN.com. its huge has dedicated teams for all the consoles who are all big fans (but not fanboys) of the platforms they cover. Sometimes they over rate mediocre games slightly and their perspective can be a little bit detached form the average gamer but a quick trip to Metacritic can balance that out.

but they arent very good in telling you what games are coming up, and what they will be like. at the moment, i only have 6 ds games. of those six, i heard of 2 for the first time on tv, 1 in the argos catalogue, one when i saw it in gamestop, and the other two by complete chance.

that is why i like review magazines. not only do they review games, but tell you what games are on the way. on the net, you look for certain games that you know you want. in magazines, you can get excited about games youd never heard of.

Sites like eurogamer, gamespot and ign do previews all the time as well.

IGN is about 60% previews, its an online magazine essentially. the have some podcasts and pretty much all they talk about is upcoming games.
