Focus owners - help wanted - bottom bracket

Just wondering if any of the Focus owners have had issues with their bottom bracket so far ... over the last 3 months mine has been out in all sorts of weather and now I am hearing a clicking noise. Nothing when the pedals are under pressure, but as soon as I start coasting and I feel it in the pedal spindle of both pedals. Would I be right in thinking that its the bottom bracket.

The bike still has the original FSA gossamer chainset with the FSA mega exo bottom bracket.

If indeed its the bottom bracket, I am assuming if I should change both the bottom bracket and the chainset at the same go and upgrade for no other reason than the opportunity it presents. Would SRAM rival chainset or the ultegra be an upgrade over the FSA gossamer.

Anyone running ceramic bottom brackets ... is there one available for the FSA Gossamer chainset .. if not which one are you running and do you notice an improvement ... longevity is a big concern as I use the bike for commuting pretty much in all weather.

Also, if I order a bottom bracket .. do they come with the proper tools for installation ... I can't possibly stock all kinds of bottom bracket tools just in case .. :)

    Thanks in advance

I dont have a Focus but if your focus has an outboard BB it may not be your BB. these are a very good bearing system. When your coasting take note of the gears your in and count the clicks per pedal revolution, try and find a pattern. clicks can arise form many different parts of the frame or from any of the moving parts of the bike. Take off your chain and spin your cranks and listen and feel for any bit of roughness. UP grade if you have wear, the bb is not a huge job to do , you dont have to change all because your fitting a bb. You should get the tool for removing the bearings with the bb, well I know Shimano do include it with there Hollowtech 11 BB.
Focus owners will probaly be more precise in finding the prob.
