Morgan Tsvangirai and his wife were involved in a car accident, he is injured but his wife has been killed. As soon as I heard this I couldn't help but feel it may have been a plot by Mugabe to finally get rid of pesky Tsvangirai.

    Thoughts?

No doubt that because this doesn't involve lizards, nwo, aliens, or nasa it will be ignored on this forum.

What would make you think this was a plot? If you post you're thoughts on this you might generate a bit more discussion.

Its the first think that occurred to me as well.Waiting for more details. It's such a pity that this decent and brave man got such little support in his efforts to bring democracy to Zimbabwe.

How long more can the disgusting creature,Mugabe, remain in power.85 years old,its incredible he can hold twelve million people in such poverty and repression.

Why on earth Mugabe? He and Morgan T had finally just hammered out a powering sharing deal. Hardly in his best interests to further destabalise a state already on the brink of collapse and where he would be the prime suspect.

Far more likely to be an MI6/CIA Anglo-American plot. It is they who strive for regime change, they who would like to install a new Central Bank, they who have a history of such actions, they who are battling for control with China for Zimbabwe's mineral wealth, and they who are most likely to be able to cover it up.

Perhaps Tsvangari had served his purpose, was no longer useful after his deal with Mugabe. Maybe he was bought out by the Chinese?

Here is a photo of the USAID truck after the accident. Notice the "damage" and car at the rear for perspective. More chance of the driver injuring himself with a gun backfiring I'd say.

    Why not just kill Mugabe?

And there doesn't have to be huge impact, Tsvangari's car was on it's roof so all that needs to happen is a sharp swerve and hey presto your four wheel drive is flipping over. Like they do every day all over the world.

You see this is the problem with many people who call themselves sceptics, you choose to believe conspiracy over all other possibilities. Could this be a state sponsored 'accident'? yes indeed it could. Do four wheel drives roll over every day all over the world? Yes indeed they do. So there might be something sinister or equally there might have just been an unfortunate accident in a country where rules of the road wouldn't be highest priority.

why make a martyr? Mugabe is 85. Besides it would be extremely difficult such is Mugabe's security.

The only car that was impacted was Tsvangari's which was the third car in the motorcade. In an accident situation to miss 2 oncoming vechicles and directly the 3rd has got to very rare. Methinks the driver needs serious investigation.

Here are the thoughts of the only Independent MP in Zimbabwe and details of a recent USAID employee's assasination attempt.

In today's independent: Tsvangirai say's it was an accident.

From his mouth. If he suspected foul play then he wouldn't shy away from stating it.

Time to let it rest now. A horrible accident that took a life. Trust a CTer to overlook the loss of life in search of a conspiracy.

In hindsight you've got a point
