Yet another Paypal Problem

My paypal account has been limited and I really don't have any idea why.:( when i log on thos message comes up:

Mar. 5, 2009: Our system detected unusual charges to a credit card linked to your PayPal account.

It's after taking the money from the two last people that I bought stuff off on e-bay too. It says send a utility bill in but as I'm still in school i don't see how that will work. I also use 3v vouchers on my paypal account.

Can anyone please give me any idea on what to do? Thanks!

Are you under 18? If so, you're not eligible to use PayPal according to their User Agreement:

"To be eligible for our Services, you must be at least 18 years old"

Anyhoo, sooner or later due to money laundering regulations, everyone has their PayPal account restricted until they send them a copy of ID and a utility bill. It seems your restrictions is due to your CC activity raising a red flag on the PP system. While it may be a PITA, you'd be glad if PP put a stop to someone using your CC fraudulently before things got out of hand.

I'm 18 so that one isn't a problem.:) oh right it's prob the fact that i've put a good few on the account. The ID is no problem as I have a passport. any idea how the utility bill will work seeing as i'm still at home? Thanks!

You'll have to ring them and explain that you're using a pre-pay credit card. Paypal normally restrict the number of cards you can associate with an account, and this is why you're being restricted now. When you tell them that it's not actually a credit card, they'll lift the restriction.

There's nothing you can do about the utility bill if you don't have one, they're just trying to confirm your address.
