vodafone and eircom modems

Hey everyone, Any help on this would be great.I'm considering moving from eircom to vodafone and i was wondering about the eircom modem i have.Is it compatable with vodafone? Will eircom want the modem back? Sorry if these are dumb question's. Thank's for any help!!

I'm using my eircom netopia on vodafone at home 3Mb dsl. Eircom didn't ask for it back.
