Hi just wondering has anyone seen this. If this film already has a thread move this message to it but I couldnt see any thread on it.

Not a bad film. The acting was very good. Felt claustrophic which is no surprise seen as its based on a play.

Wasnt really left in Doubt at the end due to what Streep's character said.

My only question is when Streep's character was talking to the black kids mom, was it implied by the mom that the black kid was gay?.

Damn, alot things completely passed me by in that film!
It's decent enough, nothing mind-blowing though.

    Watched this last night.

Now, I thought that this was all sewn up by what Sister Aloysius said to Sister James
regarding having pretended to make a call to Fr. Flynn's previous parish, thus his agreement to move signalled his guilt, but what she said at very end about having doubts, was that about whether or not Father Flynn had abused the boy or about her own faith?

    I'm in doubt myself because
in her office when they had the big showdown, even when he agreed to move parish, he still said he did nothing wrong. It's like he was only agreeing to move because she was making his life a misery and he could see that nothing would derail her from her view of him
